Terms of use
Last updated 8 November 2026
These terms apply to afrospatial.com and the Afrospatial magazine, published by Afrospatial Publishing. By using the site you agree to them.
Our content
The articles, news briefs, magazine editions, photographs and design on afrospatial.com belong to Afrospatial Publishing or to the authors and photographers credited with them, and are protected by copyright.
You are welcome to:
- read, download and print the site and the magazine for your own use;
- share links to our pages and editions;
- quote short extracts, with credit to Afrospatial and a link to the original.
Please do not republish whole articles, editions or photographs, or use our content commercially, without our written permission. Ask at info@afrospatial.com.
Names and logos of other organisations that appear on the site belong to their owners.
Contributions
When you send us an article, photographs or other material, you confirm that it is your own work, or that you have permission to send it, and that people clearly recognisable in your images have agreed to appear. You keep the copyright in your work. You give Afrospatial Publishing permission to edit it for length, clarity and house style and to publish it in the magazine, on afrospatial.com and in our newsletter and social media, with credit to you. See Write for us for how to submit.
Accuracy
We work to get things right (see our editorial standards), but the site is for information, not professional advice. Check important details, such as deadlines, prices and regulations, with the original source before you rely on them. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.
Links and advertising
We link to other websites and carry advertising. We are not responsible for the content, products or privacy practices of other sites or advertisers.
Using the site
Please do not misuse the site: do not try to break or overload it, gain access to parts of it you are not meant to, or use our forms to send spam.
Liability
The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Afrospatial Publishing is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or from relying on its content. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
Personal data
How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
