Victoria's surveying and spatial information profession has named its 2026 EISSI award winners at a gala in Melbourne attended by hundreds of practitioners. Prizes were given in 14 categories, with highly commended runners-up also named.

Taylors Development Strategists won the Infrastructure & Construction Award for the Eastern Freeway Upgrade and was named Large Firm of the Year. South East Water took the Extra Dimension and Innovation Award for its digital cadastre modernisation program. Robin McDowell (Reeds Consulting) was Professional Surveyor of the Year, while Georgie Webster and Chris Burrows shared the Young Professional award. KLM Spatial won the Alexander Skene Award for Cardinia Business Park.

The program is in its 28th year. Western Australia's awards follow on 30 October, and all state winners go forward to the National EISSI Awards in Canberra in February 2027.

Why it matters: The awards show which cadastral, infrastructure and digital cadastre projects Australia's surveying profession regards as best practice. The approach to modernising cadastres and titling offers a reference point for other national surveying bodies.
