Trimble adds cloud drone photogrammetry processing to WorksManager
Trimble announced WorksManager Drone on 5 November 2026. The software lets civil contractors process drone imagery in the cloud inside the Trimble ecosystem, without moving data between separate photogrammetry tools.
Processed, true-to-scale flight data can be overlaid with project designs, machine data, as-builts and other site data. Contractors can use it to calculate volumes, take measurements and verify material when monitoring progress. Site supervisors and project managers see the current jobsite state alongside the latest design file and machine data.
The product feeds into the Trimble Connect construction platform. Trimble plans a January 2027 release, sold via its worldwide dealers and working with DJI and Wingtra drones. Markham Contracting's field technology manager said it gives foremen quick 3D visuals and cut-fill metrics.
Why it matters: Surveyors and contractors who fly drones for stockpile and earthworks checks could handle processing and comparison with design data in one platform. Dealer-based sales should reach African markets from January 2027, though pricing has not been published.
