Trendspek raises A$6m to expand 3D asset condition records into North America and Europe

Sydney-based Trendspek announced on 30 September 2026 a A$6 million funding round with OIF Ventures as lead investor. Proceeds will pay for hiring, product development and customer support in North America and Europe, where clients already include Suncor Energy and the Port of Rotterdam.

Founded in 2019 by former Qantas pilots Derek Feebrey, Fiona Church and Mitch Deam, the company converts drone, robotic and handheld inspection data into a 3D record of an asset. Teams can flag defects, measure and compare changes between captures.

Trendspek reports more than 860 organisations using it across over 1,700 sites, and 165 per cent annual revenue growth from critical infrastructure customers over three years. It is training AI models, using years of classified defect data, to flag likely defects and detect changes in known ones.

Why it matters: Inspection data from drones and other sensors is only useful if it feeds a persistent, comparable record. Platforms that unify capture sources and add AI change detection point to where asset-inspection workflows, including for ports and telecoms operators, are heading.
