Beijing Sixiang Aishu raises CNY 100m Series B for Skysight satellite constellation
Beijing Sixiang Aishu Technology, also known as Skysight, has raised 100 million yuan (about $15 million) in a Series B round announced in October 2026. Investors include Beijing Shunxi, Hefei Gongrong, Xicheng Runmiao and Zhengshan, described as state-linked and local government-backed funds.
The company converts satellite imagery into tools for infrastructure monitoring, agricultural insurance and engineering safety. The money will go to the Skysight constellation, on-orbit algorithms and sector-specific applications, with the aim of moving multi-source imaging and in-orbit processing from planning to deployment.
Skysight launched its first three smallsats, covering SAR, optical and infrared, in July 2023. Delivering the network on schedule and turning emergency response, energy and insurance customers into steady revenue remain open questions. The round follows large raises by Chinese peers such as Changguang Satellite.
Why it matters: Multi-sensor constellations with on-orbit processing point to faster, more application-ready Earth observation products. Practitioners in insurance, infrastructure and disaster work should watch whether Skysight reaches orbit and how its data is offered.
