Serco launches NadirEO platform with 18 ready-to-use Earth observation services
Serco has launched NadirEO, a collaborative Earth observation platform that offers ready-made analyses to organisations without in-house remote sensing expertise. It went live on 23 September 2026 and was presented at the BEX 2026 expo in Rimini, Italy.
NadirEO starts with 18 services supplied by partners including Geoskop, Titan4 and Gisky. They cover climate and geological risk assessment, wildfire monitoring, critical infrastructure monitoring and renewable energy asset management. Initial target sectors are energy, insurance, infrastructure and agriculture.
According to reporting by Il Sole 24 Ore, the platform combines satellite, aerial, drone and ground-sensor data with client archives, supports natural-language queries and records which sources and processing steps were used. Pricing is pay-as-you-go; a natural risk update for a region above 10,000 square kilometres costs about 12,000 euros.
Why it matters: Packaged, traceable EO analytics sold per use lowers the barrier for organisations lacking remote sensing staff, and gives specialist providers a route to market. The partner-marketplace model is one that African EO firms and public bodies could watch.
