Rwanda strengthens capacity in GIS to promote urban development

Rwanda has strengthened its capacity in the field of geographic information systems. Through the Urban Economic Development Initiative, UEDI, in collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Rwanda Housing Authority, is conducting training for district staff in Musanze, Rubavu, and Rwamagana. The training is in the use of digital inspection tools, web-based GIS, and engineering software to enhance urban planning and economic development.
