PwC becomes first systems integrator in Esri's Platinum tier

Source: PwC

PwC and Esri announced an expanded alliance on 5 October 2026, with PwC becoming the first organisation admitted to Esri's Platinum tier for systems integrators. The tier is meant for a small group of integrators with a proven record in GIS implementation and client delivery.

The collaboration targets energy and infrastructure organisations. PwC will build and deploy AI-enabled solutions on top of the ArcGIS platform, linking strategy, operations, technology and governance in one geo-enabled system.

PwC says its GIS team has spent more than 14 years on geospatial strategy, spatial data analytics, utility network implementations and enterprise system integration. Esri's Brian Cross described the tie-up as a step towards extending GIS to bigger global challenges.

Why it matters: The move shows large consultancies embedding AI and ArcGIS in utility and infrastructure operations. Practitioners and Esri partners, including those serving African utilities and infrastructure owners, may see more integrator-led, enterprise-scale GIS offerings.
