PMRDA starts joint land measurement for Pune Inner Ring Road from 12 October
The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has scheduled joint land measurements for its proposed Inner Ring Road across villages in Mulshi and Haveli talukas, after pre-acquisition meetings with farmers. In Mulshi, surveys are set for Hinjawadi on 12 October, Jambe on 13 October, Marunji on 15 October and Nande on 17 October. In Haveli, work starts at Manjari Khurd on 13 October and Kolwadi on 15 October.
Officials say the survey will first fix the boundaries of affected land, followed by assessment of houses, trees, wells, borewells and pipelines on the plots. After the acquisition notification, three years of transaction records will be used to set compensation. The road is planned at 65 metres wide with nine-metre service roads on each side, and PMRDA aims to finish acquisition by the end of December 2026.
Why it matters: Parcel-level boundary measurement and asset audits are the foundation of transparent compensation in large corridor projects. The sequence of joint survey, valuation from transaction records and public disclosure is a useful reference for land administration and surveying practitioners elsewhere.
