Kenya launches Sh300m land digitisation tool

The government of Kenya, in partnership with the EU and the Food and Agriculture Organization, has launched Sh300 million worth of the GIS equipment, envisioned to digitize land governance and greatly enhance urban planning and decision making in 30 more counties. The package includes guidelines for the implementation of GIS and a training manual in order to introduce counties to tools that are based on data.
