BigData Ghana, with Agbedus Consult as strategic partner, will hold the first Africa Geospatial Leadership Forum (AGLF 2026) in Accra on 11 and 12 November at The Palms by Eagles. The theme is mainstreaming spatial intelligence for development, investment and decision-making.

Sessions cover land administration, mining and natural-resource governance, and the research and skills needed for Ghana's geospatial sector. A keynote will look at the Cabinet-approved Ghana Space Agency and how better access to satellite and Earth-observation data could serve agriculture, insurance, infrastructure planning and climate resilience.

Another session examines how GIS can help banks meet the Bank of Ghana's Climate-Related Financial Risk Directive, in force for banks since January 2026. The programme also includes a CEO and investor dialogue, a leaders' roundtable and a proposed communiqué on collaboration. On 12 November, participants will visit the Ghana Meteorological Agency.

Why it matters: The forum links geospatial data to finance, insurance and policy audiences, not only technical users. Climate-risk rules for Ghanaian banks and the planned space agency could create demand for location analytics and Earth-observation data.
