Intuitive Machines Awarded NASA Contract for FALCON-RADAR Earth Observation Mission

In early November 2026, Intuitive Machines was selected by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory to supply its IM 300 spacecraft bus and provide system integration for the FALCON-RADAR Earth observation mission. This polar orbit satellite is planned to study clouds, convection, and light precipitation using W-Band cloud profiling radar.

The FALCON-RADAR award, alongside EAGLE-VSWIR and EDGE, adds a third Earth science mission for Intuitive Machines within six months. This strengthens the role of its standardized spacecraft platforms in building a diversified, multi-mission contract base across civil space customers.
